21. November kl: 19:00 Rogaland Kunstsenter

Four times a year, Performance Art Stavanger invites a performance artist to Rogaland Art Centre. Together with the host and the audience, we delve into interesting and relevant topics within performance and the artist's own process.

Where the conversation will go, and what happens along the way, is entirely up to the participants.

Performance café is a pleasant space where performance artists and others who might be interested are invited to come together to exchange experiences, inspiration and talk about what engages us.

This time we have invitet Rita Marhaug.
She often collaborates with other artists and central in her artistic production has been long-standing investigations of family relations and identity. The many aspects of sensing, beauty and decay, life and death, -are other strands in her practice, often linked to current ethical dilemmas.

She holds an MA in fine art from Bergen Academy of Art and Design, KHIB (-89) and a BA in history of art from the University of Bergen, UiB (-96).
She have curated and shown performances at KUBE art museum, PAB open, Arthouse Kabuso and is currently axhibiting "Fatet" at this years Høstutstilling.

Performance café is supported by BKH and Stavanger municipality.
